What is Out-Learning?
Out-Learning is investigating further learning outside of the classroom. It could be working with your local council, helping a student with a project outside of school, an interview, or working with a business. It is very important for a Big Picture student to participate in Out-Learning.
What out-learning have I done?
Melbourne Fliming Trips
I have gone to Melbourne to learn and create a documentary on the V/Line train from Albury to Melbourne. I have also done filming on the 109 Tram from Box Hill to Port Melbourne. This expanded on my public transport knowledge, and helped me to investigate more into the public transport experience.
Border Express Shadow Day
I have done a shadow day at Border Express to learn about IT in the business/enterprise space. This furthered my knowledge on what software is used inside of businesses.
La Trobe University Trip
As a year 10 student, we were invited to spend a day at La Trobe University, to learn about what happens inside of a university. This helped me learn more about what I want to do after school.
